Westbound Route 66 travelers will find the J.M. Davis Gun Museum situated between old Route 66 and business 66, within a couple of blocks after entering the Claremore business district. There is plenty of parking space for Tour Groups and RV's, and the state-operated Museum is an excellent place to obtain information on Claremore's many attractions. Over 20,000 guns, cannons (and artifacts) are on display in this world-famous facility.  The Gift Shop also carries Route 66 souveniers, clothing, caps and reference & guide books. Will Rogers Memorial Museum
U.S. Highway 66 was dedicated many years ago as the Will Rogers Memorial Highway, and the Memorial Museum in Claremore† features galleries of memorabilia and artifacts, a children's museum, theaters and television kiosks, all in tribute to the life of one of America's most multi-talented and historically significant individuals, Will Rogers.

The campus and museum are open daily at a nominal admission fee. The expansive parking areas easily accommodate large tour buses, RV's and multi-vehicle touring groups.
