Fanning
The worlds largest rocking chair is on display at the 66 Outpost in Fanning. The store has tons of gifts, signs and artwork for sale, and beer and wine (including local selections) is offered. A colorful mural makes a great backdrop for photos.
Located next door to Meremac Caverns, this small Route 66 Community is decorating it's fire hydrants with murals depicting Mother Road towns from Chicago to L.A.!

The Pulaski County Tourism Bureau has a free historic auto tour guide that includes turn by turn directions of the 33 miles of Route 66 in Pulaski County, MO- including Devils Elbow, Waynesville, Buckhorn, Laquey, & Gascozark. A lot of Route 66 in this area is still original pavement, including the curbing that was designed to keep cars on the road- but didn't work well in reality.
